Quotes from live attendees:

“Telling Your Impact Story was clear, concise, and provided easy to follow handouts. I will be using this information in my upcoming work.”

“Brandi dispelled my belief about effective story writing with data and then showed us how to have more impact. She used examples that I could relate to and gave me easy action items to solidify the teaching”

You know that telling stories about the work you do is critical to engaging stakeholders and raising money—so you probably tell a lot of stories. There are some incredible people doing amazing things in your program, but are your stories powerful enough? Do they explain your impact and compel others to take action? Telling Your Impact Story Webinar will help you get clear on how to tell organizational stories with purpose.

Presenter

Brandi Olson empowers organizations to measure, adjust, and grow the good their programs can do. She’s not a typical statistician or program evaluator; she does’t use dry, static data. She is a teacher, and has been helping people learn how to measure and improve their work for over 10 years. She has led youth wilderness expeditions, developed pre-college programs for Chicago Public Schools, and taught special education in the Twin Cities. The one thing she’s learned from those varied experiences, it’s that authentic impact doesn’t happen just because of good intentions. You have to know where you are going to get there and make sure you don’t get lost along the way. Impact Mapping + Measurement is how she makes data practical, meaningful, and realistic for organizations who are serious about improving the good they can do. But what she really loves is helping teams deepen their impact and tell great stories, so that others want to be part of story.

Learning Objectives

  1. Craft three types of impact stories, each with a distinct purpose
  2. Cast the perfect hero in every story
  3. Tell the right story at the right time for any audience
