DOQ. Full-time non-exempt position with excellent benefits. Weekday, evenings, and
every other weekend hours. Some holiday hours required.
Primary responsibilities include assisting team members with overall operations of the shelter facility
and responsible for the direct care, behavior management, and supervision to shelter residents, ages
5-17. This includes; monitoring personal hygiene, health, medication administration, client intakes
and discharges, meal preparation, kitchen clean-up and maintenance, assistance with the planning
and facilitation of daily cultural & physical activities for the youth. Will facilitate house meetings,
talking circles and table time. Reports directly to Shelter Coordinator and assists other staff as
AA degree in social services, child development, elementary/secondary education and/or related
At least 3 years of experience working with youth in a residential, therapeutic, group or classroom
setting. Must have experience working with youth with a variety of emotional, personal or social
concerns. Knowledge of the Native American culture, values, and family systems preferred.
Applicants required to be 21 years of age per DHS Licensure.
Must have valid Driver’s License and pass DHS Background Check.
