SALARY: DOQ (Competitive) Full-time exempt position with competitive salary and excellent benefits. Predominately Monday—Friday, 9 am—5 pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

SUMMARY: The HR and Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all financial operations for a non-profit organization with a current budget of 1.8 million to expand to an approximate 2.7 million dollar budget in 2019. Plans, directs and coordinates human resource and risk management policies along with a small volunteer program. Manages and implements employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, State and Federal compliance, and payroll. Reports directly to the Executive Director.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: BA degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience. Formal certified Business or Administrative Training, Human Service Management, or related field required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations for non-profits • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the American Indian community required • Direct and monitor all financial activity of the organization and manage organizational cash flow • Develop and implement organizational-wide budget plans and use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends • Prepare organizational financial statements monthly and annually, as needed • Knowledge of all aspects of payroll post & pre-tax deductions, quarterly and year end reporting • Manage cash from outside grants, funding and donors—knowledge of federal grants and websites: SAM, PMS, Grants.gov, and grants solutions a plus – will be responsible for contract applications and renewals and reporting. Must have knowledge of Peach Tree and knowledge in Sage software a plus • Ability to manage insurance and other fee-for-service billings • Provide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for long-term growth • Must monitor agency liability and loss control, manage property/professional insurance policies, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, and their annual renewals • Acts as primary liaison regarding personnel matters and employee benefits (enrollment and renewal). • Advises the administration on the formulation of policies and procedures related to personnel, finance, program operations • Excellent organizational and communication (verbally & written) skills required
