Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Florida Inc

The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida is to provide a structured, viable, and caring after school and summer facility for children ages 5-18, no matter their circumstance, in order to help lead them to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida is also the Head Start & Early Head Start grantee for Taylor County Florida. Through our Head Start grant, we serve children starting at six weeks of age. This allows us to serve children throughout their childhood and make a lasting impact to improve their lives through a quality club experience. The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida was founded in 1990 by a group of caring and concerned citizens who wanted quality afterschool programming for the youth of Taylor County. The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida provides after school and summer services/programs for its members which include homework help, education and literacy, sports, fitness and recreation, career, health and life skills, character and leadership, and more. The programs are housed in seven locations: Veteran’s Park Club, the Teen Club, Steinhatchee Stingray Club, Shady Grove Club, Mayo Unit, Early Head Start and Head Start.
