Street Outreach Worker (Hennepin County)

SALARY: DOE. Part-time, non-exempt (20 hours per week). No benefits.

SUMMARY: The Street Outreach Worker will work in conjunction with the collaborative—
“StreetWorks,” through conducting Street-based outreach in Hennepin County to homeless youth.
Focus will be on building strong networks within Indian Education, the schools that they partner with,
and the various school administrations. This position will be responsible for coordinated entry
assessments, HMIS data entry for outreach clients and developing a “collaborative program plan” and
establishing a resource guide for teachers and social workers. Street outreach shifts will include some
late nights and weekends.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience working with youth in an educational or human service setting. Must have experience working with at- risk populations and the ability to work constructively with youth who exhibit a wide array of challenging behaviors.
