Job Summary: The Grants Associate working under the Grants and Compliance Officer will be responsible for entry-level professional work in developing, administering, and monitoring new and existing Youthprise grant programs and other strategic investments and partnerships. Assist with the administration of grant programs including grant application/proposal review and processing, payment processing, grant program oversight and monitoring, grant portal management, evaluation, data collection, and reporting. Provide excellent support and relationship building with diverse stakeholders including current and prospective grantees and partners. Organize and coordinate grantee convening’s and information sessions. Assist with the development of strategic partnerships. Work with evaluation team to conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports for consideration and presentation to leadership and Board of Directors.
Job Schedule and Location: Full-time, regular employee, benefits eligible. This is a Twin-Cities, Minnesota-based position located in an office building; however, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all staff are working remotely. The building is accessible and smoke free.
Compensation: This is a non-exempt role with a pay range of $20-$25/hour, depending on qualifications.
Education, Experience & Skills: Undergraduate degree Nonprofit/Public Administration, Youth Work, Ethnic or Gender Studies, Social Work, Planning, Foundation Management or a related field. 1 year of experience in philanthropic, nonprofit, or government service. Experience working with youth and basic knowledge of positive youth development practices. Understanding of disparities and issues of equity in our region. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate various responsibilities and prioritize conflicting demands and deadlines. Demonstrated passion for issues surrounding youth and youth access to opportunity and success. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Effective relationship and problem-solving skills. Excellent planning and coordination skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
