McGregor is a rural school district located in Northern Minnesota approximately 60 miles west of Duluth and 60 miles east of Brainerd in Aitkin County. McGregor School District covers a rural area of just over 900 square miles of beautiful lakes, forests, rivers and streams. The McGregor community is one of pride with school and community working together for better outcomes for kids and community. McGregor is host of an abundance of natural resources to include Savanna Portage State Park, Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and Army Corps of Engineers Sandy Lake Dam Recreation Area.
